The founder of Yuan-Chi Tai Chi Chuan

Raise Hands“Until you can bring forth a flower, Breathe life into that which is dead,
Summon or subdue the elements, Transport yourself through time and space,
And heal with a single thought, a single touch,
Can you call yourselves Masters?
And long before you achieve these things,
Titles shall become meaningless to you, and you will come to understand.”
~Rumi

Master Ric Lum studied Tai Chi Chuan under  his esteemed teacher Grandmaster Ng Kon-Kuan, who had graciously come out of retirement to personally share of his wisdom and knowledge.

Prior to this Master Lum had enjoyed a number of different martial arts including Hung Family Fist, a popular southern Shaolin style, and Judo in particular.

In his youth Master Lum twice passed up opportunities to study under well known Tai Chi masters, being under the illusion that speed and power were what martial arts were all about.

Yuan-Chi Tai Chi Chuan is the culmination of 3 influences in Lum Sifu’s life; Tai Chi Chuan, pure meditation{Sahaja Yoga} and previous martial arts experience. ( Yuan-Chi Tai Chi Chuan )

Lum Sifu has been teaching Yuan-Chi Tai Chi Chuan since 1999 and has a growing body of students and instructors both in Australia and overseas. He is always on the lookout for students who are serious about enjoying themselves and their Art (but not necessarily about themselves!).

Become the guru

“So to begin with we must understand that Spirit is described as a Kala, as a phase of moon, one phase of moon. But a Guru’s described as the full moon, purnima, Guru Purnima. Guru is the full moon, it’s not just a phase. So from one phase you have to go to the stage where you become a complete Guru. Sixteen phases there are, altogether, and you have to cross the sixteen stages to become the Guru.”

Ric asked us to only judge on our vibrations what he said and taught. As we started to move I felt the vibrations flow.My personal feeling is that Ric has found a way of plugging this form of Tai-Chi back into the main frame – The Paramachaitanya-.

“What did Sifu do, or not do?”

Absolute surrender. He moved as the energy moved him, so seemed to be a reflection of energy waves and pulses. The current flows – how it manifests itself will vary with different physical environments or people, but it just keeps on flowing.

Sifu manifested wait till it happens, without doing.
